The Rheinburgenweg trail
The Rheinburgenweg (or “Rhine Castle Trail”) is a hiking path which runs along the left bank of the Rhine from Bingen to Rolandseck and, as the name suggests, there are countless castles to admire along the route. The Hotel am Markt in Bacharach is located just a few metres from the trail.
The Rheinsteig trail
The Rheinsteig trail starts in Bonn and runs along the right bank of the Rhine past the Loreley rock to Wiesbaden. You can leave the trail at Kaub and take the ferry across to Bacharach.
